Every tarot reader has a unique lens through which they view the cards. Mine was forged in the misty ridgelines of the Appalachian Mountains, sharpened by military service, and deeply grounded by years spent holding space for people in their most vulnerable human moments.

From the Cumberland Gap to the U.S. Navy

My journey begins in Cumberland Gap, Tennessee, a historic pass carved through the mountains where my roots run generations deep. Wisdom was passed down through the bloodline here; my great-grandmother was a resilient Appalachian woman who supported her family by making moonshine and practicing traditional mountain witchcraft. That deep, ancestral connection to nature, intuition, and the unseen world is woven directly into my DNA.

When I left the mountains, that protective, resilient spirit went with me into the United States Navy. I served as an undesignated airman launching F/A-18 fighter jets off carrier decks, later transitioning to a Navy Corpsman and Medical Lab Technician.

A Nurse’s Perspective on Holding Space

Eventually, my path led me to civilian medicine, where I worked as a Registered Nurse through the heights of the global pandemic. In the chaotic sea of the healthcare frontline, I learned exactly what human pain, transition, and heartbreak look like up close. I also learned how desperately people need a safe, confidential, and completely judgment-free container to process their lives.

Throughout all the noise of the world, Tarot was my anchor. It wasn't a tool for spooky fortune-telling; it was a mirror for the soul.

My Philosophy: Claim Your Own Power

At Mountain Crow Tarot, my mission as a teacher and reader is simple: I am here to hold a flashlight in the dark, not to tell you what to do. I firmly believe that you should never give your power away to anyone—including a reader or a deck of cards. The future is not a fixed track. Tarot is a tool to help you communicate with your own gut intuition, look at your choices objectively, and step confidently into your own magic.
